PAPER SUBMISSION

Important Dates

October 15, 2025 (Penang, Malaysia Time) Paper Submission Deadline
December 12, 2025 (Penang, Malaysia Time) Notification of Acceptance
March 1- 4, 2026 (Penang, Malaysia Time) EDTM 2026Conference

Submit Manuscript  (click to submit)

The EDTM 2026 only accepts 3-page A4-size manuscripts, including text, figures, tables, and references, based on the EDTM 2026 conference template. Download the Docx MS Word Template and the Zip LaTeX template (which is based on the 2024 IEEE conference latest templates, https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates).

The manuscript needs to be submitted in IEEE Xplorer-compatible PDF format. The authors are advised to use the paper template available here. Authors should read it carefully and write papers according to this guideline.

The three-page manuscript must include:

- The text should be clearly divided into different sections and should include explanations of new results, findings and their significance while clearly stating experimental and computational conditions. The abstract should clearly state the purpose of the work.

- First page footer (DELETE footer if there is any)

Authors and Affiliations (Information in Word template, 2nd page)
The template is designed for, but not limited to, six authors. A minimum of one author is required for all conference articles. Author names should be listed starting from left to right and then moving down to the next line. This is the author sequence that will be used in future citations and by indexing services. Names should not be listed in columns nor group by affiliation. Please keep your affiliations as succinct as possible (for example, do not differentiate among departments of the same organization).

1) For papers with more than six authors: Add author names horizontally, moving to a third row if needed for more than 8 authors.

2) For papers with less than six authors: To change the default, adjust the template as follows.
a) Selection: Highlight all author and affiliation lines.
b) Change number of columns: Select the Columns icon from the MS Word Standard toolbar and then select the correct number of columns from the selection palette.
c) Deletion: Delete the author and affiliation lines for the extra authors.

Failure to remove template text from your paper may result in your paper not being published.

You need to use the IEEE PDF eXpress site at https://ieee-pdf-express.org/account/login) site to create your PDF for IEEE Xplore compliance manuscript. Read the instructions at Docx https://ieee-edtm.org/files/65772X.pdf before preparing the manuscript.

After completing your paper's preparation, authors must create a PDF according to the IEEE PDF Specification for IEEE Xplore. All submissions MUST be IEEE Xplore compliant, and the only way to ensure this is to use the IEEE PDF eXpress site.

Please go to the IEEE PDF eXpress site at ieee-pdf-express.org.
Click on the link "New Users - Click Here" and fill in your information.
You will need the Conference ID, which is: 65772X

IEEE EDS Submission System (IEEE Confcomm) (Ref: https://confcomm.ieee-eds.org/app/docs/submit-paper )

Login to https://confcomm.ieee-eds.org to submit a paper.

After login, users are shown the list of open conferences. For conferences still accepting manuscripts (choose  2026 10th IEEE Electron Devices Technology & Manufacturing Conference (EDTM) if not showing), it will be possible to click on the 'Submit manuscript' button, which will open the submission form. Some tracks or special sessions may have submission deadlines different from the general one of the conference, so if the deadline for the conference has been reached, it would only be possible to submit manuscripts to those tracks or special sessions.

Most fields in the manuscript submission form are self-explanatory, but there are some special considerations to be taken into account:

1. When adding a keyword, it is necessary to push the Enter key to register it. This allows complex keywords to be added, as it can be seen in the following example (where the third keyword has not been added yet).

2. When adding the PDF document for a manuscript, a list with a single element will be displayed. To check that the PDF has been uploaded correctly, click on the eye-shaped icon and the PDF document will open in the browser. Please make sure to upload the document with the correct version of your work before submitting. Make sure that the IEEE PDF eXpress has passed the manuscript.

3. There are two ways to add authors to a paper:

The best way is to use the search box and click on the 'Add registered author' button. If the user with the given email is already registered, he/she will be automatically added to the manuscript using the information available in the system.

Non-registered people can be manually added as authors by clicking on the 'Add unregistered author' button and filling out the corresponding form. This form should only be used after the search procedure described above returns no results. Make sure you know the emails your co-authors used to register to the system.

It is important to note that the author marked as contact is the only one allowed to perform actions related to the submission process, such as final version upload or copyright transfer. By default, the user making the initial submission is marked as the contact, but this can be changed if required.

Clicking on the 'Check Submission' button will show the confirmation screen, including the manuscript information to be checked before completing the submission.

Once the submission is completed, all authors will receive a confirmation email from conferences@ieee-eds.org about your submission.

Important Dates for Authors

October 1, 2025 (Penang, Malaysia Time) Paper Submission Deadline
December 12, 2025 (Penang, Malaysia Time) Notification of Acceptance
February 1, 2026 (Penang, Malaysia Time) IEEE Copyright Submission Deadline
March 1- 4, 2026 (Penang, Malaysia Time) EDTM 2026Conference

Notification of Acceptance

Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 12th December 2025.

In any case, for getting your work accepted for a platform presentation or a poster presentation, high quality abstract submission is a must. The paper must be presented at the conference by one of the listed authors. For every paper/poster, a unique registration is mandatory. The accepted and presented papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore for indexing. Non-presented papers will not be published in the IEEE Digital Library, IEEE Xplore.

Copyright Transfer

( Ref: https://confcomm.ieee-eds.org/app/docs/sign-copyright)

Deadline for submission of the IEEE Copyright Form on or before 1 Feb 2026

Authors of accepted manuscripts must transfer the copyright to IEEE. Only accepted, electronically submitted copyrighted papers and presented papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore for further indexing. This can be done only by the contact author either before (initial_approved state) or after (final_submitted state) the final version of the manuscript has been submitted. The co-authors of the manuscript will not be able to sign the copyright transfer form. Once this process has been completed, it cannot be repeated unless, for some reason, changes have to be made to the final submission, which requires authorization from conference organizers.

The copyright transfer form can be accessed from the 'Manuscripts > Current' option in the side menu. In this section, the manuscripts submitted by the user and those in which/she is a co-author are listed.

By clicking on the icon with a right-pointing arrow, the details of the corresponding manuscript can be accessed.

By clicking on the 'Sign IEEE Copyright' button on the top of this section, the copyright transfer form appears:

Clicking on the 'Sign Copyright' button will open the IEEE copyright transfer page, where the signature process can be carried out by following the steps indicated there. The internal process at IEEE can take up to 24 hours to be completed, so in turn, this is the time it may take for changes to be reflected in the details of the manuscript ('Manuscript Marks' section).

Publication of papers

In order to be published in the conference papers on the IEEE Xplore, the accepted papers must be copyrighted and presented at the conference.

The authors of a selected number of high-impact papers will be invited to submit extended versions for publication in the special issue of IEEE Journal of Electron Devices Society (J-EDS) and IEEE Transactions on Materials for Electron Devices (T-MAT), subjected to J-EDS and T-MAT policies.

Privacy Policy

Before paper submission, please read through the EDTM2026 Privacy Policy.
